Shaw, or Crompton as it was originally known, is located at the foothills of the South Pennines, on the River Beal, in-between Oldham and Rochdale. Since its economic boom from textile manufacturing during the industrial revolution Shaw is now a predominantly residential area, with sought after modern developments mixed with Victorian/Edwardian terraced property.
